Release Updates - October 2026

This release delivers key enhancements across data governance, formulation accuracy, compliance efficiency, and training workflows. Each update is designed to strengthen platform usability, improve data integrity, and support consistent, secure operations across teams. Below is an overview of the enhancements included in this release.

Advance Notice: Upcoming Global Standards Updates

Overview/What’s New?

TraceGains is giving advance notice of the next phase of Global Standards, planned for broader external release in February 2027. It brings configurable forms for customers and TraceGains AI assistance for suppliers in Gather. The document title and description updates already released are the first step in this same initiative.

Who will use it?

Customers who configure document requests and the forms their suppliers complete, and suppliers who complete those forms in Gather.

What will change?

Nothing changes today. This is an advance notice only.

These are the new capabilities arriving in February 2027:

  • Configurable forms Customers select the markets, industries, and product categories relevant to their business. What suppliers are asked follows that selection rather than a single fixed questionnaire. Customers can also adjust what their own team sees and add their own questions.
  • TraceGains AI in Gather Suppliers upload documents they already possess, and the assistant drafts answers with a link to the source. Suppliers then review and submit. Nothing is automatically submitted. Existing document records, submitted documents, in process documents, document history, permissions, attachments and access are unaffected.

Benefit to users

Customers receive supplier information that is consistent across their supply base and requests which reflect their markets. Suppliers answer once and serve every connected customer instead of completing a variation or unique version for each. Further guidance will follow prior to the release, covering additional information regarding what is changing, what is not changing, and what to expect.

Improved Clarity for Document Titles and Descriptions

Overview/What’s New?

Document titles and descriptions have been updated to use clearer, more standardized language across the TraceGains network. The update supports more consistent terminology for customers and suppliers while preserving existing document records, access, history, permissions, and attachments.

Updates to TraceGains Standard Titles and Descriptions

Who will use it?

Customers and suppliers who view, request, submit, or manage documents in TraceGains will see the updated titles and descriptions where applicable.

What has changed?

All document descriptions have been refreshed and select document titles have been updated to better reflect the type of information each document represents. Only the displayed titles and descriptions have changed; existing submitted documents, in process documents, document history, permissions, attachments, and access remain unchanged.

Benefit to users

The updated language makes document names and descriptions easier to understand, supports more consistent document selection, and helps reduce confusion when working with suppliers across regions and document types. Overall, this update improves clarity and consistency across the document experience while keeping existing records and document activity intact.

Supplier Compliance

Exact Match Option for COA Identification

Overview/What’s New?

Supplier compliance processing now includes an option to require exact supplier and item matches when identifying COA information. This option gives teams more control over how incoming COA data is matched during document processing.

Who will use it?

Supplier compliance teams using document intelligence for COA processing will use this option when supplier or item identification requires a strict match.

What has changed?

A new optional setting can require exact supplier and item identification values during COA processing. When enabled, processing does not use a broader match when the configured values do not match exactly.

Benefit to users

This option helps improve confidence in supplier and item identification by reducing the chance of unintended matches during COA processing. Overall, this enhancement supports more precise COA identification by allowing stricter matching when exact supplier and item values are required.

Audit Management

PowerPoint Export for Audit Reports

Overview/What’s New?

Audits can now be published using PowerPoint ActionForm templates. This extends the template-based publishing workflow beyond Word templates, allowing users to select a PPTX ActionForm template and generate a slide-based audit output with audit attributes and section tables populated from the audit.

Who will use it?

Audit management teams that prepare audit results for review, reporting, or stakeholder presentations will use this export option.

What has changed?

PowerPoint ActionForm templates are now available as an audit publishing option alongside existing output options. Audit content can be generated in a presentation-ready format for easier sharing and discussion.

Benefit to users

This enhancement reduces the manual effort needed to prepare audit presentations by populating a selected PowerPoint ActionForm template directly from the audit. Instead of copying and reformatting audit results into PowerPoint, teams can generate a slide-based output using audit attributes and section tables from the audit. Overall, this supports more efficient audit reporting by turning structured audit data into a presentation-ready template output.

Formula Management

Process Step Details for Formulation Workflows

Overview/What’s New?

Process steps now include additional detail fields for temperature, temperature unit of measure, duration, duration unit of measure, and equipment. These fields support more complete process step information in formulation workflows and help align process data across connected formulation experiences.

Who will use it?

Formulation teams that define, review, or manage recipe process steps will use these fields when additional processing details are needed.

What has changed?

Additional metadata fields are now available on process steps, including temperature, unit of measure, duration, duration unit of measure, and equipment. Existing process steps remain unchanged, and use of the new fields is optional.

Benefit to users

The added fields make process steps more descriptive and easier to interpret, helping teams capture key manufacturing or preparation details in a structured way. Overall, this enhancement improves the completeness and consistency of process step details while keeping existing formulation workflows flexible.

What has changed?

Ingredient records can now store “May contain” allergen statements. When those ingredients are used in recipes, the allergen information can flow into the related recipe details for review and labeling use.

Benefit to users

This enhancement helps teams manage precautionary allergen information more consistently by storing “May contain” statements with the ingredient record and supporting visibility at the recipe level. Overall, this enhancement improves allergen information management by supporting “May contain” statements from ingredient records through related recipes.
