With the Horizon Scanning Global add-on, the HSG Matching Tool feature provides enhanced capabilities to simplify your workflow. The Matching Tool allows Enterprise users to set up automated monitoring, tracking suppliers and ingredients to save time and reduce the risk of missed alerts.
Step 1: Sign into TraceGains Gather® and go to Intelligence > Manage > Matching Tool in the Intelligence app. The Matching Tool helps you monitor suppliers and ingredients listed in your Enterprise site.
The Matching Tool may take 5-15 minutes to run, depending on the number of suppliers and ingredients. You will receive an email notification when the process is complete.
Step 2: Select Dietary Supplements, Ingredients, or Suppliers from the dropdown menu based on what you want to monitor.
Step 3: If your Enterprise site is linked:
- Select Run Matching Tool to automatically pull and match suppliers and ingredients with the Intelligence database.
Step 4: If your Enterprise site is not linked:
(Skip this step if your Enterprise site is linked)
- Select from the dropdown menu.
- Choose Download Template.
- Complete the required fields in the template.
- Upload the template.
- Select Run Matching Tool.
Step 5: Go to Manage > Suggestions from Matching Tool. Select View Suggestions to see your ingredient and supplier matches.
Step 6: Use the checkboxes to select one or more matches. In the Actions dropdown, choose Approve Matches and Monitor to add items to your Watchlist, or Hide to remove unwanted matches from view.
Step 7: Select Continue to confirm your selections.
Step 8: To manage your suggestions, click Filters.
Step 9: Fill in the necessary fields and select Apply Filters.
Additional tips:
- Start with high confidence suggestions by filtering to Confidence Level: High.
- For bulk approvals, use the top checkbox to select all items on the page.
Be sure to review and approve matches on both the Suppliers and Ingredients tabs for full coverage.
