What is Regulatory Global?
Regulatory Global is an add-on data subscription available to TraceGains Gather® Pro and Enterprise users. With this add-on, users can search and access regulation information from SGS Digicomply through the TraceGains Gather® Intelligence app. Results can be shared quickly via email, or with teammates via Workspaces. Additionally, Regulatory Global provides a comprehensive library of regulation guides for over 150 countries.
This article aims to walk you through all of the main functions required to take full advantage of this robust data sourcing tool.
Search Regulatory Global
Step 1: Login and navigate to your TraceGains Gather® group.
Step 2: Click the Intelligence drop-down and select Search
Step 3: Click the search drop-down box and select Regulations
Step 4: Type your search keywords.
Step 5: Review the results. For information about filtering, read on to the next section.
Step 6: Click any Title link to read more about the regulation or guide.
Filter Search Results
When searching Regulatory Global, filters can be useful to help narrow down the results and find the most relevant information. Some useful filters might include:
The following features are located in the full filters menu. Navigate to the search results table and click More:
Published on: Specify a range of when the particular regulation was published.
Enforceable on: Limit results to when the regulation is active. For example, you may want to focus on regulations that have been enacted in the last six months or the last year.
Ingredient: Search for regulations and guides related to a specific ingredient or substance. For example, you may want to focus on regulations related to sugar or gluten.
Post Type: Segments results between regulations or regulatory guides.
Markets: Specify the geographic area that you are interested in. For example, you may want to focus on regulations in the United States or the European Union.
Topics: Select a specific topic or keyword that you are interested in. For example, you may want to focus on regulations related to sustainability or policy.
Enforced/Not Enforced (checkboxes): Filter out regulations that are not currently being enforced or those that are no longer being enforced. This can help you focus on regulations that are actively being enforced and ensure that you are in compliance with the latest requirements.
This filter sits atop the search results table:
Filter Results (text field): Dial in results to an additional keyword, useful when narrowing down a specific ingredient or source.
Share Regulatory Global Results
This section will assist users maximize the benefits of this resource-rich tool by explaining how to share results.

From the search results grid:
Step 1: Click the three dots on the far right side of the row containing the desired result.
Step 2: Select Share. Type the name of the colleague (must be a user in your TraceGains group) and select to confirm.
Step 3: Click Send.
From the regulation/guide detail page:
Step 1: Click Actions, located near the title.
Step 2: Select Share. Type the name of the colleague (must be a user in your TraceGains group) and select to confirm.
Step 3: Click Send.
Add to Workspaces:
From the search results grid:
Step 1: Click the three dots on the far right side of the row containing the desired result.
Step 2: Select Workspace.
Step 3: Choose the appropriate workspace from the dropdown and Save to confirm.
From the regulation/guide detail page:
Step 1: Click Actions, located near the title.
Step 2: Select Workspace.
Step 3: Choose the appropriate workspace from the dropdown and Save to confirm.
