Why share workspaces?
Workspaces can be shared with internal colleagues within your TraceGains Gather® Group AND to external partners. Collaborate on a strategic project, share research findings and enable teams to react quickly to risk or opportunities.
Share with internal colleagues
Step 1: On a Workspace card, click the 'Actions' dropdown and select ’Share‘. From there, select from a list of current users in your TraceGains Gather® group.
Step 2: Set the invitees to ‘Read-Only’ or ‘Allow Edit Access’.

Step 3: To share from inside a Workspace: Click ‘Share’ on a current collaborator to invite another user to join.
Share with external partners (New!)
Now you can invite any user from any company outside of your TraceGains Gather® group to collaborate on a Workspace! Share Workspaces with your strategic business partners, co-manufacturers and co-packers, vendors, consultants, customers and more! The possibilities are endless with these highly flexible, project-based spaces, integrated with content throughout TraceGains Gather®.
Step 1: On a Workspace card or from within a Workspace, click ‘share’. From the 'share Workspace' modal, click 'Share with External Company'.
Step 2: Search for a company name to check if a TraceGains Gather® Group already exists. If they do, select the company name from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: You’ll then be able to select from a list of visible users with whom you can share the Workspace with. Select the user(s) and click 'Send Invite(s)'. The selected users will receive an email invite to join.
Step 4: If you don’t see the correct TraceGains Gather® Group, click the link “Can’t find TraceGains Gather® Group?”. From there, enter the email addresses for any users you want to invite directly to your Workspace. Click the Send Invite(s) button. The users will receive an email inviting them to join TraceGains Gather® to collaborate in your shared Workspace.
The top right corner of the Workspace AND on the Workspace card should now indicate that the Workspace has been shared externally. These locations will display the logo for the external company collaborating on that space. If a new individual has been invited, the indicator will appear after the individual signs up for their TraceGains Gather® account to access the Workspace.
